Here's another non-makeup entry but I just want to share with you guys the tools I use to style my hair. If you are looking for good quality tools, I would definitely recommend these as the essential items to style your hair.

Dryer - Babyliss Ioniceramic pro 2000
This dryer uses Ionic Ceramic technology which prevents hair damage from excessive heat. It includes the standard nozzle and a diffuser to add volume to your hair. It has also a removable rear filter, which I honestly don't know what that is for so if anyone can tell me let me know. :)
Likes:
- 2 speed and 3 temperature option, gives you 5 different speed-temperature settings
- cool air button which allows you to switch between cool temperature and your desired speed-temperature setting

Dislikes:
- too big and not good for travel

Curling Iron - Babyliss i-Pro 200
The curling iron uses Nano Titanium Ceramic professional coating to prevent hair damage from heat.

Likes:
- I-Temperature technology and temperature regulator with LCD screen which allows you to set temperature from 150-200°C. The temperature display will stop blinking once it reaches the desired temperature.
- On/Off switch
- Ventilated cool tip
- Built-in stand
- Swivel cord that rotates so no need to worry about the cord distracting you while you curl your hair
- Curl looks very natural and great for creating loose curls and waves

Dislikes:
- It only comes in one size. It would be great to have range of sizes available to choose from.
- Not recommended if you are looking to make small curls

Hair Straightener - Babyliss pro230 wet n' dry
This uses 24 x 95mm Nano Titanium Ceramic professional plates for perfect glide and heat transfer to guarantee softness, shine and protection. It can heat up immediately to 230°C which is the ideal temperature recommended by Babyliss to give perfect straightening without causing damage to hair. It is designed to be used on either dry or damp hair.

Likes:
- Ultra-fast heat-up – 230°C max
- Temperature regulator (25 temperature settings) with Turbo function
- On/Off switch
- Swivel cord

Dislikes:
- pro230 sold in Philippines does not have the LCD display and removable detangling comb

The prices of the three products are Php2000-2500 each in Philippines.

Since it is my birthday soon, I wanted to make a special giveaway to my viewers. This will be a 2 month long giveaway to give you enough time to accumulate points. If you remember, I posted a giveaway poll featuring 6 products that I am planning to giveaway for July. Since I noticed that different viewers have different choices and no particular product won the poll, I have decided to let the winners choose the prize from the list instead. Yes, you read right, there will be winners and not just a single one! :)

This is open internationally. The contest ends in September 10, 2010.

How to win:
You need to accumulate points in order to win. The person with the highest points will get to choose 1 product that she/he wants from the items available to be given away. Another winner will be randomly selected to choose also a product from the list and 5 winners to get a random makeup product. The more points you get, the more chances of winning :)

Makeup application is best when you have a healthy glowing skin. Most people rely so much on makeup that they tend to neglect skin care. Why bother when there is makeup to cover up flaws anyways? Makeup should enhance your natural beauty and not totally change your looks. Unhealthy skin, even with makeup will still look unhealthy. So to achieve a completely flawless look, it should start beneath the makeup, that is your skin.

There are so many ways to take care of your skin. Of course, we already know the 3 basics ways - cleanse, tone and moisturize. Although some people need more than the basics to maintain a healthy looking skin specially when aging comes with it. Hydrating your skin is the most essential, so drink at least 8-10 glasses a day. Drink more in the summer since you dehydrate faster during warm weather. Getting enough vitamin E is also a good way to maintain a younger looking skin.

Did you know that green tea has beauty benefits? We all know that green tea has shown to have many health benefits and one of these is helping you get a healthy skin. It fights the effects of aging, makes the skin glow, heal blemishes, soothe tired eyes and more. Peroxide lipids slows down cell degeneration and the aging process. Vitamin E helps reduce the peroxide lipids but Green tea is twenty times more active in reducing these than Vitamin E.

Include green tea in your beauty regimen. Soak two bags of green tea in 1 liter of hot water for 20 minutes. Refrigerate until the water is cold. You can use this as a cooling spritzer to freshen your face. The green tea helps hydrate your skin. Soak cotton pads in cold green tea and put it over your eyes. You can also use the tea bags as an eye mask to relax tired eyes. If you have break outs or scars, dab green tea over the affected areas to help them heal faster. Also, make it a habit to drink at least 1 cup of hot green tea since beauty starts from within. ♥

My favorite green tea brand is the TAZO Tea. I suggest the China Green Tips (also available in full leaf) and Om filter bags for applying on your skin and try out other flavors for your drink.
